The Roost is a large public house with separate bars, a public bar, lounge area, mezzanine bar and a music bar. This combines the old with the new, as the pub still has many of its original pieces in place.
Enjoy a spot of lunch in the roost from midday to 9pm daily but do not overlook the breathtaking features throughout the pub – from stone mixed with timber and glass – to the beautiful flower display that has been known to be a topic of conversation among locals and tourists alike.
Throughout the years the Roost has had a great connection with Rugby and G.A.A. as the main attractions several of our customers have represented both Ireland at an International Rugby Level and at University level for the All Blacks of New Zealand
Excellent dinner Just went to The Roost where I got the classic burger with onions and mushrooms with the Pepper sauce. It's the best pepper sauce i've ever had. The staff were all great and getting additional pepper sauce was not a bother.I would 100% go again and would recommend others to do likewise
Great Atmosphere My daughter studied abroad at Maynooth and she and her friends spent quite a bit of time at The Roost. We were recently in Ireland and went to Maynooth so I could see where she went to school. Of course we had to go to The Roost since I had heard so much about it. I was shocked to see how big the place is. There are at least two floors, and it seems to go on forever. The decor is pretty and the lighting is just right for a pub. I look forward to going back to The Roost when in Ireland again!
Relaxed meal for 2 The Roost in Maynooth is for me the hub of everything i n the area. Went for a meal as I have done on many occasions and the food, service and atmosphere is just great. The resident chef who is visible to customers, works away tirelessly in the recently upgraded kitchen area producing marvellous food. Such a relaxed and casual yet lively place. Would highly recommend for a very varied menu covering all tastes, reasonably priced for all budgets. Nice Guinness and wine. If your in the area, it's the place to go. For larger groups, booking advised, otherwise just pop in. Staff so friendly and tuned in.
