The Roost is a large public house with separate bars, a public bar, lounge area, mezzanine bar and a music bar. This combines the old with the new, as the pub still has many of its original pieces in place.
Enjoy a spot of lunch in the roost from midday to 9pm daily but do not overlook the breathtaking features throughout the pub – from stone mixed with timber and glass – to the beautiful flower display that has been known to be a topic of conversation among locals and tourists alike.
Throughout the years the Roost has had a great connection with Rugby and G.A.A. as the main attractions several of our customers have represented both Ireland at an International Rugby Level and at University level for the All Blacks of New Zealand
Great Atmosphere My daughter studied abroad at Maynooth and she and her friends spent quite a bit of time at The Roost. We were recently in Ireland and went to Maynooth so I could see where she went to school. Of course we had to go to The Roost since I had heard so much about it. I was shocked to see how big the place is. There are at least two floors, and it seems to go on forever. The decor is pretty and the lighting is just right for a pub. I look forward to going back to The Roost when in Ireland again!
Fantastic food and amazing service My wife and I would return to the Roost time and time again. They have the best pub grub and food selection in Maynooth. Our appeal for the Roost has gone up recently when we presented with a dietary requirement to find the staff knew exactly the ingredients and how they are made. You will find a wonderful atmosphere for food and drink. The staff are truly amazing and make all feel welcome. You are in great hands if served by Jas, Adrianna or Victoria.
Mother’s Day Came here for Mother’s Day and I was very happy with the service and quality of food. Even though it was quite busy on the day, the wait was worth it as the food was delicious. The waiting staff couldn’t have done enough and we will be back again for sure!
